USB device not recognized

Hi,

I’m happy having received my first Sodaq ONE and started working with it.
I succeeded in uploading the tracker sketch, sofar so good. Now I like to reconnect it through USB with my windows 10 pc.
Unfortunate, I’m getting the error USB device not recognized :frowning2:

I tried to update the software/drivers, no success
I tried to reset the sodaq one, no success. Although I doubt if I’m doing it right.

Pleased to hear some advices

Update from myside, still having the same error.

I tried to reset the board by connecting pin6 with ground, the red led starts blinking.
But how do I know it has been reset to the factory settings, it seems that I’m doing wrong?

Hi,

Can you try to double reset it and upload the sketch again?

Hi Jan,

Thanks, I tried but the pc is not recognizing the device on the USB-port.
See below screenshot, any advice?

Hi Enno,

Can you go to the boardsmanager, search for “m0” and install the Arduino M0 boards?
Let me know if this will fix the driver issue.

Jan

Hi Jan,

Unfortunate this isn’t working, I restarted the PC and getting the same error.
Meantime, I also tried it on another pc with windows 10. Same error.

Fyi, when connecting the Sodaq One to the USB, the red light is on for a certain period of time.

Rene

Can you double reset (2x fast the resetpin to gnd) the board again?

After a normal reset the red led will turn on after ~5 seconds and will stay on for ~30 seconds.
When a double reset is succesful the red led will NOT turn on and you will get a different com port.
This should be possible since you were able to load the tracker software.

Can you load an empty sketch to the board. This will remove the tracker software.
Can you let me know if the message is also there with the empty sketch.

Regards,
Jan

I’ve the board connected to my pc through USB and performed the double reset.
The red led indeed switches off, although in the IDE under tools/port nothing can be selected (it’s still grey).

Also when restarting the IDE, PC and/or reconnecting the USB cable not results.

So when the port doesn’t sees the board, how to upload a new sketch?

Rene

Jan,

I’ve been trying during the weekend although no success. Could it be that the boardis broken?
