Trying to setup switch to on/off

I have a SODAQ One v3 without the base station.

I’m trying to setup a switch to be able to power off when it is battery powered. So I took a look at the support site and saw that you are supposed to put a switch between pin 4 and 5 and it should just work. I did that and I cannot seem to power off my SODAQ. I suspect something is wrong with the documentation because when I plug a battery to my SODAQ One it powers on directly whatever I do with pin 4 and 5.

Is it possible to setup a switch to switch on/off when battery powering?

@Leonard_Bise,

From V3 we added a solderjumper, which is made by default.
You need to remove the zero Ohm resistor before you can use the on/off feature of the board.

I updated the page:

Let me know if this is clear for you :slight_smile:

Kind regards,
Jan

Thanks a lot for the information.
I will give this a try. :slight_smile:
