STM32 Nucleo L476RG + Lorabee RN2483

Hi,
I am trying to interface the LoRaBee RN2483 with a STM32 Nucleo L476RG board. I have connected the RX and TX pins of the bee to my nucleo TX and RX. Vcc and Reset to GPIO of the board and GND to GND. When I try sending a command via UART I do not get any response. Is there anyway to check if my lorabee is powered up and functioning properly?are my connections ok?
