Can you guys recommend a low cost lora Gateway that will work with my uk loraone. I have a spare Raspberry pi 2 knocking around, is there something I can add to this to make a gateway?

yes, you can make a gateway from an RPI 2. What you need is a lora concentrator and a way to connect it to your RPI (usually through an USB port) + the software to forward the packets. The software is provided by the NSP (ex: loriot.io). They also have some info on various gateways that you can use and how to set everything up.
